The purpose of the Guemes Island Community Center Association is to promote the educational, recreational, and social welfare of Guemes Island. In conjunction with this purpose, the Association shall maintain and operate a meeting hall and associated facilities and properties, hereafter called the Community Center.

Community Center Association Election 2011

Fifty-two islanders attended the November GICCA meeting at which five new council members were elected.

Sharon Schlitenhard, Lynn Myers, and Norm Prewitt were elected to two year terms and Kathleen Philips and Howard Pellett were elected to one year terms.

Julie Pingree and Rob Schroder will continue as council members for another year

The council will meet in early December to decided which offices each council member will fill.
